Kitesurfer Smoothie
Posted by GirlonRaw on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 ·
Yesterday I made the most delicious breaky smoothie that lasted til the afternoon, but I made sure I saved some for PPP for after work as he needed some post work energy to hit the beach to go kitesurfing!
Oranges, apples and pears in the juicer, then put a handful of spinach, blueberries, blackberries & kiwi’s in the blender with the juice and VOILA, a delicious, nutritious breaky that kept me going til about 1pm. I made a whole blender full and kept going back to the fridge for more during the day.
I got a bit hungry around lunch time so nibbled on the leftover kickass salad from dinner the night before (OMG I am loving salads right now! Especially the Becci Salad – my favourite in honour of it’s creator and my fellow raw foodie here…basically it has EVERYTHING in it and it so yummy, and that is coming from someone who didn’t really like salad before.)This salad had: mixed lettuce leaves, sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, snow peas, mung beans, alfafa, cucumber, avocado, shredded nori (the sheets you use to make sushi) and PECAN nuts. Yes pecans! They make the difference. I dressed the salad with olive oil and balsamic, and just kept going back for more.
I packed up the puppy for her first visit to the beach and the video camera to film the next big Kiting Pro (or not!) and we came home a little late for me to make something from scratch so it was salad and veggie soup I had made the night be
fore. What a great day!
