Slack slack slacker!

Hey everyone! No I haven’t forgotten you yet again, I just haven’t really been eating much except leftovers and the same things over and over again hee hee, plus I have been quite busy with loads of social stuff with friends so leftovers have been perfect. Also the good thing about having a high raw diet is lots of the food we can eat only require a quick spin in the Vita Mix to slurp down, or even sometimes there is no preparation time as just grabbing a piece of fruit or a ready made salad is easy peasy.
As with everything gadget last week, my camera has decided to cark it also, so I have few and far between photos to share with you of my food of late so I will do my best between my camera phone and friends camera’s until I get my new iPhone and hopefully Santa brings me a new camera later in the year.

Last Thursday I was invited to a Sunfish (?) Regatta. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and being a very WINDY day, I surprised myself with how FrEaKeD out I got with the power on the water with such a little craft, but hey, I wouldn’t rule out doing it again.

Needless to say I did not win the regatta. A fun day was had by all.

Earlier that day on the way out the door I made two large green smoothies which got me through until dinner, which was this:

It was back to the gym Friday night to do quads, hammy’s, calves and a 20 minute jog on the treaddy.
Saturday was kinda chilled but I felt like something starchy and carby so I made some cous cous with sundried tomatoes, garlic & lemon olives and inhaled.

Later that night, I was invited to a gorgeous formal surprise combined dinner birthday party for some friends, and oh didn’t we feel spoilt. My friend had completely surprised her hubby by transforming their dining and living area into a mini ballroom complete with 3 course meal served by waiters and a fully dressed table, I felt like it was MY birthday….and the food was divine. I didn’t get any photos but 3 of us had the veggie options and oh my goodness….YUM YUM YUM.
Yesterday was more leftovers and a bit of cardio at the gym.
Body for Life & Quick Cleanse Update
I am loving this Body for Life program (I’m into Week 3 of 10) that I told you all about and am already seeing some great benefits including fat loss. My Quick Cleanse detox officially finished on Sunday, and after an over indulgent holiday in the land of delicious food (Italy) I found it was a great kick start. My energy levels are back at what they were prior to my vacation, and my body is loving me at the gym. The only difference the detox system really has to my usual every day eating is the herbal supplements which help get things moving along. I have lost 5kgs/11 pounds and am hoping to lose a little more!
Speaking of gym it’s time for me to head out do my duty for the day.
Before I love you and leave you for the night, one of my favourite bloggers right now Fitnessista, is embarking on a month long Raw Food Chef course in Oklahoma, and seriously, if I wasn’t addicted to her bloggy before, I certainly am now, with her blow by blow account of what she is learning (and eating everyday!), I am extremely jealous. To the point where I have even done some of my own investigation into perhaps doing the course myself. So one thing led to another and after sending an email off to ask some more questions about the course, none other than Matthew Kenney responded to me, suggesting I call him direct, which I did! How cool is that. So I guess on this clip that Gina (Fitnessista) posted here where Matthew mentioned a call from Saudi Arabia was MEEE! I thought it was awesome icon smile Slack slack slacker! Anyway food for thought (raw food at that). If you haven’t already checked out her blog, you so have to. The raw food dishes she is making at this school make the airfare worth even thinking about to hit the school which is also attached a brand new restaurant!
