Going to Dub Dub and Fruit Salad with Chocolate Berry Cream

Hiya all, how is your week shaping up?
My weekend is half over! (Remember Saudi’s weekends are Thursday/Friday) but that is ok, as my 3 week vacation has rolled around again.
First stop is Dubai for my old flatmate from London days and best friend Hayley’s birthday. It has been forever since we have caught up so I am looking forward to some girl time and celebrating with her and her friends.
Even though I was on a work trip to New Zealand recently, I don’t feel the need to go exploring too far this vacation as I kinda feel like I spent my spending money and enjoyed myself as if I was on vacation anyway. So far this year I have been to Cuba on a Salsa holiday, visited home to Australian in April, enjoyed an Albanian wedding and catching up with my sister in Italy in August and these holidays I was toying with the idea of a USA trip, particularly New York so I could have a complete food lovers holiday, but not to be this time. But it is still in my future.
So any Dubai readers that would like to catch up, drop me a line. Or does anyone have any suggestions for some ideal Vegan and/or Raw cafe’s restaurants?

Today I did a charity fun run of 3kms with once again my blogging partner in crime, The Voracious Vegan (you’ve soooo gotta check out her blog if you haven’t done so), and friends.

But before I hit the road to make my mark, I enjoyed a very delicious Green Smoothie. Can you tell I just don’t tire of these babies?

This one was spinach, kiwi’s, pears, banana’s, blueberries & blackberries with VitaMineral Green powder.
The run was all for a great cause (cancer awareness and prevention) and everyone was encouraged to walk, run, jog, cycle even rollerblade. There was a great community turn out and loads of fun with plenty of kids and dogs (I kept Lucy at home as I was worried of how many canine’s there would be and although small, she thinks she can take on a rottweiler and win!) However something Natasha pointed out was we thought it was a little weird that they were also running a bake sale to supplement their fundraising (and no it wasn’t Vegan or Raw at a Cancer Charity race).
I jogged the whole 3kms in 19 mins. Not that great but it is a start. Usually I jog 6km a day with Lucy so the 3kms seems to be quite easy. I just need to pick up my time.
Afterwards I decided to steer clear of another Black Tie Ball tonight, as I think my body just needs some time out.
Instead I opted for a lovely movie night at a friends place. They ordered in quite a bit of standard Arabic meat heavy food of which of course I declined. I had some more of the green smoothie before heading out, and made a MASSIVE fruit salad of which EVERYONE was hanging out for after dinner (yay for RAW!)

You cannot quite tell but there is mango, banana, mandarin, kiwi, blueberries, blackberries & pears in there.
And I topped each bowl with a dollop of this:

Chocolate Berry Cream
Avocado, Cacao Powder, Agave, Water, and fresh blackberries blended up at a consistency to your liking.
No one could believe it had Avocado in it.

This was my half started big bowl. Oooh yeah yum, but couldn’t you see the haste in me wanting to get it into my belly with the bad quality photo shot?
Time for me to sign out and next time we chat I’ll be in the land of the futuristic architecture. Ciao bloggies icon smile Going to Dub Dub and Fruit Salad with Chocolate Berry Cream
