Waking up to fresh juice.

Hey Everyone! How are you all, and welcome to some of my new readers, so HEY THERE and welcome to my crazy world! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to sit down and catch up on reading my favourite blogs too, so I have been enjoying the downtime right before I need to pack another bag for my next trip. But here’s the goss! When I was designing my menu for my passengers for my upcoming flight I thought I’d throw a couple of raw treaties in there to test the waters and I have also used a couple of ideas from a few of your blogs too, so stay tuned and I’ll let you know what they think of them after my flight.

Man yesterday just flew by and if the rest of the year goes this quickly I have NO idea if I will get everything done that I want to. How about you? What are your plans for 2010?

Let me rewind to Monday nights dinner to fill you in on my eats!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that one of my favourite bloggers Kris at Iheartwellness.com convinced me to make something Mexican  for dinner after sharing her Taco Salad recipe here. So I worked with what I had in the cupboard (reluctant to buy new ingredients as I am off for 2 weeks from tomorrow!) and came up with this:

Sauteed a mixed bag of frozen organic veggies (corn, peas, carrots) with fresh zuchinni, onion & mushies with a tiny bit of garlic and mexican seasoning. Then piled on top of mixed organic leaves and my favourite guacamole of all time from Kristen’s Raw here. This stuff is to die for! I love the crunch and flavour of this packed out Garden Guac.

The kitesurfer boy wrapped his up instead! There are some veggies under there somewhere!

Jetlag’s still messing me about from my marathon journey home from Australia to Saudi the other day so shortly after dinner at 7pm I was crashed out on the sofa til around midnight then crawled up to bed and woke up promptly at 5am!! Yeah well I like this waking up early thing but that’s a bit extreme!!!

This is the view I had in the kitchen on waking up yesterday morning!

Don’t ya just love the apron!?

And the juice was:

A little later on I couldn’t get the mexican dinner out of my mind so I plated up some leftovers (cold!) with some crackers. I cannot tell you what was in the crackers as I bought them in Vienna on a work trip and they were in German. Wholegrain Ryvita’s me thinks?

Lunch was:

Spinach wrap with mixed leaves, cherry tomatoes, alfalfa, bean shoots, and cucumber

I then met up with Tasha from The Voracious Vegan for a dog walk around the desert with her and her 3 puppys and my little naughty girl. It was so nice to have our girly catch up, although we live on the same camp, we rarely get to see each other in the flesh due to my crazy schedule. I think I have been more out of the country than in of late.

Dinner was:

Marinated raw mushies: olive oil, nama shoyu, extra virgin olive oil, and black pepper (I LOVE THESE SUCKERS)

Then I toasted some pine nuts in the oven for about 7 minutes and threw them onto  the tastiest salad in the world for dinner!!!! But forgot to take a photo so here it is for this morning’s breakfast…yeah I know salad for breakfast???

Mixed organic leaves and organic baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, cucumber, marinated mushies and toasted pine nuts. THIS NEEDED NO DRESSING. I am salivated reliving it.

Today I’m packing for my trip away and sorting out the animals and saying hello & goodbye to all my friends on camp. Packing just doesn’t get ANY easier.

I’ve had a few Tweets and emails regarding my Champion Juicer as alot of people start getting more and more into juicing. Here is a great review post my Soul Sista Kristen did on her blog regarding her 3 different Juicers she has. I hope this helps.

  1. Everything looks YUM! I love all that guacamole, it is one of my favorite things in the world. I’ve been having raw veggie wraps so much lately, aren’t they the best? Too bad I just ate lunch and am stuffed or I would have one right now, yours have me drooling.

I love parsley in juice, or cilantro, they give it such a bright flavor.

    And those mushrooms! YUMMMM!

Pff I’ve made so many resolutions and plans that I don’t think I could fit them all into one comment! :P

Anyway, one of them is to go raw and active – I need me some exercise!

I love the juice – I’ve been looking for some new combinations lately. Believe it or not, I’ve never tried apple & banana together, is that good?

Can’t wait to see more pics once your jetlag passes :P

Hey there, 2010 does seem to be flying by so far! My goals include saving money, expanding my garden and going all raw for at least a few months … when our weather warms up a bit :-) Anyway, gorgeous dishes! Now I’m craving Mexican, might need to dig up some recipes for next week.
