Learning to Kitesurf and Tasty Lettuce Wraps

Happy Friday EVERYONE! Indulge me in your plans for your weekend because for those of you that have read me for a while you will know that my weekend is officially over now icon wink Learning to Kitesurf and Tasty Lettuce Wraps

This weekend has been pretty full, with meeting up with some fellow Aussies that have just moved out to this part of the world, to a Salsa infused Haiti fundraiser (wish I had taken pics but I was too busy catching up on Casino Rueda, Sombrero and Setenta learnt on our dance holiday to Cuba in 2009), to hitting the beach for some kitesurfing action.

No I don’t kitesurf (yet!). But we went out to a local beach to watch the boys, and both Becci and had a go at a trainer kite on the beach, so needless to say we are both eager to get out VERY soon and try the real thing!

And here is me having a little lesson on the trainer kite! (and check out the power)

Here, I do a little bit better!

Then time to head home icon smile Learning to Kitesurf and Tasty Lettuce Wraps

I’ve been eating loads on the run but here is a snack I had along the way that was quick, easy, delicious and 100% raw. Lemme know if you make it too.

My Soul Sista’s Kristen Raw’s Sun-dried Tomato Pesto. If you haven’t tried it, you totally must! It is crazily addictive and great as a dip, spread or on top of a salad!

cucumbers, peppers (capsicum) all rolled up in a romaine lettuce leaf. Too good.

  2. that’s crazy how fast those kites are!! the second video didn’t work for me though!! :)

Looks like a beautiful beach too!!

  3. You KNOW how I feel about that Tuscan Dip. I was seriously just about to make some for lunch. It is THE BEST THING EVER and I will forever be in your debt for introducing me to its perfection.

Kite surfing looks like so much fun, can’t wait to see you out on the water! And LUCY! I miss my little fluff ball.

  4. You look so beautiful at the beach! I could not work the second video, either… Somehow I have never made that pesto – need to get on that. Your photo reminded me of ‘rawcos’ – need to get on that again as well!

  5. Love the green smoothie action on the beach ;) Glad you all had a great time!
