This Dessert Will Change Your Life….
Well maybe not that dramatically but wowsers it certainly can enhance it!
See you tomorrow with some more great eats! Am off to a walk/run the dog before movie night and pack my bag for an overnight trip I have tomorrow night
Jaffa (Choc Orange) Pudding
serves 6
3 avocados (yes avocados)
1/3 cup of agave nectar or raw honey
1/3 cup of raw cacao powder
2 T nut better (I used my favourite of almond butter)
Pinch of nutmeg
Pinch of himalayan salt
zest and juice of one orange
Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until smooth. You may need to stop the blender/food processor periodically to scrape down the sides until you have a smooth and mousse consistency. Add water if it gets too thick as it will set again once in the fridge.
Place into small souffle bowls to serve (I used larger bowls and had to half each serving as this recipe is quite decadent!)
Garnish with a slice of fresh orange when serving (I didn’t have time before taking this photo and EATING)

Oh Yum! I love avocado for raw pudding, it’s so perfectly creamy! Mmm!
me too
Never thought of adding orange zest! That sounds awesome!
I usually just go with plain ol chocolate avo pudding
I know, it really makes it EVEN better
that does look pretty fantastic… i’m sure it would change your life!! hehe
Oh this looks good, I may need to try tonight!
Whenever I make avocado chocolate pudding for people they are SHOCKED to find out that avocados make the world’s best silky, thick, pudding. But it’s true – they do! This is what I use to top my raw brownies and cakes, but it usually ends up getting eating straight up because who can resist?
Adding the orange juice and zest was pure genius Robyn, and it took the chocolate pudding to a whole different level. I LOVED IT!
I know! Who would have thought AVOCADOS??
Hey Robyn!
I never thought about adding nut butter to my chocolate-orange pudding! I guess that would replicate the ‘biscuit’ taste of the Jaffa cake? I’m going to have to try that for sure! Thanks for the recipe!
BTW – my step daughters MIGHT not be coming to visit us until October (instead of July/August), which would free us up in the summer, in case you are still thinking about a trip. All will be decided in the next couple of weeks…
oh it’s too ironic that you made this…I left a teaser on my blog post today about a choc mousse I made. It’s similar to what you made, sans the orange flavoring! and holy hell yours looks good and i totally agree w/ natasha, people are SHOCKED (tonite my dinner guests were!) that it’s avos in there!
This looks great! Unlike the other commentors, I never new you could use avocado in a desert like this.
I know, neither could I until I went raw!
hey girl. you got an award on my blog this morning!!
yay! Thanks sooo much! I will head on over to check it out!
dang girly! The pudding looks so good!!
Yum the choc mousse looks delish! I’ll have to try making it.
I’ve been seeing avocados in dessert recipes a lot lately. This one looks decadent! I can’t wait to try it out, thank you for sharing!
I LOVE this pudding. I made a chocolate version of it for friends once and they loved it! It was great telling them that it was made using avocados. They liked that it didn’t give them the usual belly ache that you can get after rich dairy chocolate mousse. Love it, and love your blog!
Looks amaaaazing!
I make choc-avocado “pudding” all the time for my kiddos, but not like this!
LOVE the additions of nut butter and orange zest! Genius. And also delicous
Thanks for sharing, hope all is well!
