Heaven is an Avocolada
Introducing my new lover….
The Avocolada from Matthew Kenney’s Raw Food, Real World.
Seriously, the tastiest smoothie that has ever touched these lips. And I’ve had plenty of smoothies.
This is a recipe for glowing skin, as learnt at todays Plant Based Beauty class by Megan at 105 degrees. Expect to see this in my future.
We also learnt about different ingredients to avoid, fruits and vegetables to use on or bodies and we made our own lip balm and deodorant.
After the class we decided to hang out for a pensioner dinner at 3pm. I sampled 1 or 2 of 105 degrees cafe’s daily feature cocktails, Key Lime-tini (with sake). Yep, I am pretty much living there at the moment, even on my days off.
Started off with some Kimchee Dumplings to share. No picture so here’s one from last week.
Shared the dinner menu’s Kale Salad with additions of avocado, jalapenos & cayenne. Tasty.
Then finished off my early dinner with these babies.Cannelloni, Pignoli Ricotta, Sun-Dried Tomato Marinara, Pistachio Pesto
Then it was off on a search. Junkies searching for the best dealer (health foods of course!)
And when I got home I saw these in my parking lot. Hmmm a classic car show on this weekend perhaps?
I’ll be back tomorrow with hopefully a review on my Bella Cucina that I have not yet broken out of the box (I’ve been spoilt at the Academy with smoothies all week).

Wow! I am so excited for you ☺ Great on reaching your goals fabulous ♥ Your posts are as delightful as your meals.xo.
I know! I cannot wait to share some recipe ideas when I get home
Oooooooo!!! This is all like a wonderful dream! Just don’t pinch yourself – you might wake up! I don’t have that MK book. I’ll have to pick it up just to get that smoothie recipe!
That smoothie looks delicious! I adore Piña coladas
Loving the posts! Wishing I was at 105degress ^_^
Piña coladas are my fave usually too
That ricotta dish looks SO good. I can’t wait to eat out a raw food restaurant. There’s a great one in London apparently, which I’m hoping to visit in the summer.
I’m intrigued by the smoothie. I love them but whenever I’ve had them in the past they just make me feel bloated and yucky. Shame. I suspect it’s too much fruit in one go. Tis all good though
Hey Sarah there is one in London called Saf. I went there recently http://girlonraw.com/2010/03/05/restaurant-review-saf-london/
There are some other raw friendly places in London too like Vitarganic in Wardour Street too http://www.vitaorganic.co.uk/
Hmmm what are you putting in those smoothies that make you feel bloated?
I’m lovin’ your posts. The food looks so wonderful I could eat the pics!!
Amazing eats, the ricotta dish looks perfect. Again, such great pics!
Oh Robyn, your Plant Based Beauty class sounds wonderful! I hope you post about the things you learned. I’d love to know the yummy things to eat for great skin, what to avoid, and fun recipes for balm and such. Sounds like Heaven!
Wow, this blog made me hungry!!! Love that drink! Looks so creamy and rich! mmm!
Me too. I have to go and grab something to EAT pronto hehe.
I am playing catch up on your life here…and I am so envious! 105 Degrees! Oh, good for you!
I’m thinking that avocolada won’t help YOUR skin a bit…yours ALREADY glows
Have a wonderful and amazing time at Raw Food School!
Aw thanks Sheri but it could always look better! xx
