No Rain at This Shower
If you’ve been following my last few late nights on facebook or twitter, you’ll know I’ve been madly making raw food goodies for my Bridal/Baby Shower. Finally the rain and grey sky let up and we were able to have a beautiful outdoor party with some of my closest friends and family, some of whom I have not seen in many years. But not before our helium balloons made a swift getaway before our guests had even arrived
I’ll come back to the food later, but here’s a pic to whet your appetite!
It’s reminiscent of a children’s party. Of course we had some raw food goodies, plus some wicked treats as well, including my mum’s gluten free BLUE cupcakes. Oh yeah! They’re pretty good.
Then it was onto the fun, care of my bestie Kel, who had with some help from my two mum’s put on the whole day, complete with party games:
And then the gift opening!!!
I am so lucky to have some wonderful friends, even thought I don’t get to see them all that often, yesterday really made me realise again how fortunate I am to have such generous and loving people around me
And it may have made me just a little homesick
Oops we didn’t fit everyone in…so I was meant to cut and paste the two pictures together:
I think it looks better this way
Thanks ladies for such a special day and to my mum in law for hosting the beautiful day!
Now onto the raw food goodies.
KristensRaw Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto and my own raw garlic and chive dip (still need to tweak this recipe, I’m not too fussed on it yet)
Choc Mint Torte – I’m not really sure I can share this recipe with you as it’s a variation of a recipe I learnt at 105degrees, however the recipe is very similar to Matthew’s Choc Hazlenut Tart on page 122 of Everyday Raw.
And 3 different variations of Raw Macaroons:
Come back tomorrow and I’ll share the macaroon recipes with y’all.
Night night!
