<p>You have just got to try these oats.</p>
<p>I made them yesterday by accident as I made the smallest smoothie in the world for Pat to take to work, realising it wasn&#8217;t worth packing up into his usual flask so I dumped it on some rolled oats for him instead.</p>
<p>And so was born the:</p>
<h2>Chocolate Covered Strawberry Breakfast Oats</h2>

<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p><strong>2 Large Servings</strong></p>
<p>1/2 cup of hemps seeds</p>

<p>1 cup of water (if you can&#8217;t handle the nutty slightly bitter flavour of the hemp sub the water and hemp with 1/5 cups of almond milk &#8211; very yum and much creamier)</p>
<p>1 cup of organic strawberries (I used frozen)</p>
<p>2 frozen bananas</p>
<p>2 cups of rolled oats (1 cup per bowl)</p>
<p>1 T cacao powder</p>
<p>Blend all ingredients except for the oats in high speed blender until well combined. Should be like a thick yoghurt/slushie consistency.</p>
<p>Then pour on top of oats (divide mixture across 2 bowls of oats)</p>

<p>They are under there somewhere I promise! It looks like a yummy yoghurt on top.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s like smoothie in a bowl, with a slight crunch.</p>
<p>Stir through and let sit for about 15 minutes. But I couldn&#8217;t wait</p>
<p>You can see there is slighty less in the bowl than what I started with&#8230;</p>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Interesting to note that the percentage of calories from protein for green leafy vegetables is  higher than a pork chop or a lean beef steak. I am always eating or juicing cabbage, spinach, lettuce and swiss chard and if anything in the last 2 months, I have definitely not lost muscle definition, but increased it, and my energy is endless. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">I&#8217;m not sure but I have not heard of anyone in the West having any malnutrition or other complications from a lack of protein in their diet however I feel that my diet is definitely not lacking in protein (or amino acids) due to the crazy amount of fruit &amp; veggies that I consume.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Also have a think about why we are being told to eat more meat and dairy. There is ALOT of money involved in these industries, and if we all stopped or even reduced our consumption, how many companies would suffer. And perhaps these companies are funding biased research?? I am not sure, I am just posing the question.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Pretty much all it comes down to with me though is to listen to my body. In nature some of our biggest herbivores are some of the strongest; Elephants, Gorillas etc, and when they feel unwell they know intuitively what to eat and what not to eat as they do even when they are healthy. In my opinion we have junked our bodies up over time with processed and refined products that we have lost all ability to know what our bodies need. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">With a high raw diet, I have a clearer knowing of what my body is needs to feed on, so for example tonight after my 6km jog with the puppy, I felt like oranges. So this is what I ate. </div>

You guys have to track down a copy. I bought mine at the Aquarium in Auckland when my brother and I went to go check out the penguins and the staff told us the the <a href="http://www.seashepherd.org/">Sea Shepherd</a> (the conservation vessel which features in the film as well as in Discovery&#8217;s Whale Wars) had only just had a launch party the night before as they had docked in Auckland ready to head down to Antarctica on a mission to protect the whales. This film follows Rob Stewart, a Canadian biologist who travels the world to protect and educate on the world&#8217;s most important marine animals and how their survival impacts our future. Now I want to know how I can help!!!</div>
