Californication Day 3
I am so loving this place so much right now. I am trying to drink in as much as I can in our short stay here, because before we know it, we’ll be outta here, no doubt planning a return ‘dream’ trip back. Day 3 had us lying in for a little bit and eventually leaving the hotel just after lunch to make the trek across town to Santa Monica for a late lunch at Planet Raw. Day 1 was spent wandering around Long Beach – where we are staying, in a haze of jet lag, after a 16 hour flight from Dubai which Manus HARDLY slept a wink, just trying to familiarise ourselves with our new home for the next 10 days and to pick up our rental car – we fell asleep by 4pm! Day 2 headed off to Costa Mesa to South Coast Plaza – after being recommended it as a shopping destination by my flight attendant buddies who call Long Beach their second home. On the 18th August, I teamed up with Kind Living Cafe in Maleny (about an 1.5 hours drive from Brisbane), Queensland to conduct a raw food class for their Thursday night students, and then some more. The lady behind this wonderful concept cafe (I say concept as Kind Living Cafe is way more than a Living Foods Cafe – it is a franchise and if you follow their facebook page you’ll see they are even working on a retreat plus way more) is none other than the lovely Lucy.
