Chai Gelato & Smoothie | Recipe
Howdy folks, I’m back again with this: Remember this cheesecake/tart from my Potluck? Well I made it from Matthew Kenney’s Everyday Raw but I changed it up a bit, but you can find the original recipe in his book. And there was another dessert I made and forgot to share… Chai Gelato. Yeah right, it was pretty decadent. I used the base for the icecream from here and you don’t need an icecream maker but great if you do: Raw Vegan Chai Gelato Ingredients 1 cup of cashews (soaked for 2 hours) 1/2 cup of coconut oil^, melted (I put it in the dehydrator til a liquid, but if it’s warm out you can just more »

Howdy folks! How was your weekend? Indulge me, what did you get up to? Thanks for all your brilliant comments on my Compound post. I knew you’d all have no idea of what it was like and were wondering so thought it a great post idea. Glad I did. So today was the famous Raw Potluck and what a blast. Without it wanting to come across as a bit of an intervention/cult meeting haha, I tried to make it uber casual and just a way to get people together to think creatively when it comes to their health and their diet. Well I’m beat from making this… And these… And setting up our living area more »

I live on a compound. I guess to most people, that conjures up so many different kinds of images, but I thought I’d shed a bit of light on where I live, because if I didn’t live here I’d be curious too. When I first moved here to Saudi Arabia, I came from London where I worked as a flight attendant also, and shortly after arriving, met my future husband who worked for the same company – different department. Erm that’s NOT my husband So even when I resigned from my flying career, I wasn’t required to leave as my husband lived here already. I guess it’s hard to understand what living in a compound more »

Howdy! Welcome to my ‘quiet’ weekend. I’ve been non stop in the kitchen today (between feeding and playing with both my boys) with a few of the following goodies. When hubs needed a brief pick me up study break, I promised to make him a smoothie that would fill him up till dinner and give him a bit more energy and brain power. My gal, Kristen’s Cherry Chocolate Bomb Shake but I shook it up a bit… 2 cups of almond milk 2 frozen bananas 1 cup of frozen cherries 2 T cacao powder 2 T maca Blend and enjoy – this made exactly 2 large glasses. Often I am asked if I ONLY eat raw foods as I am so passionate about bringing more raw foods into both my life and those around me. My thoughts on diet and nutrition are very non judgemental and non biased and I don’t believe the way one person eats, should necessarily be the way everyone should eat to obtain optimal health. I believe there are healthy vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores (meat eaters) just as there are unhealthy ones and the way each person approaches their own diet is very individualised.
